Rajecke Teplice is among the most attractive and famous of Slovak spas, being like a pearl surrounded by a wreath of coniferous and deciduous forests. To the east it is bordered by a panorama of the magnificent Mal Fatra mountain range, with the bizarre rock formation of the dolomite limestone of the Strov peaks directly over the spa to the west.
The history of the spa town goes back to the 17th century and many of famous celebrities, as Maria Theresia - Hungary Austrian empress, visited the town during its existence.
The Teplica basin has a mild climate, which, according to Swiss classification, is among climatic conditions that produces a calming effect. It has sufficient sunlight without summer heat waves, refreshing breezes without strong winds, and probably most valuable of all, exceptionally pure air quality with minimum pollution and dust.
